I take the producers at their word that they have a definitive ending
in mind, and had one all along since Day 1. I think that it was a
reasonable conclusion to assume they were "painting" randomly, because
of the meandering plot, but also inaccurate -- I believe those filler
arcs were an attempt to flesh out the story at the behest of ABC which
didn't want to set a definitive end date.


One thing has me worried.
