Good point... And that would also help explain the extended daylight
that we all discussed here, after the jet had crashed. ...However, it
seems Danielle (and possibly Desmond-- I can't recall) remember being
just out of Tahiti.
Then too, the Captain said they were 6 hours in when they lost radio
contact, so assuming they were flying to LA, that's where the search
should have taken place. ..Thus, if the jet did show up in the Sunda
trench, as every one seemed to be satisfied with, the NTSB, wouldn't
have been so hasty to close the file. The jet would have been tracked
via its transponder, and this would have created a major stink in the
airline industry: How did the jet get over here, when it was actually
over there?
