Our new physicist character is named Dan Faraday...could this be an
oblique clue to the nature of the Island's energy? The Faraday cage (
invented by a physicist named Michael Faraday ) is a device for
controlling or omitting electromagnetic radiation within a specific area

Just a thought, after the Henry Gale thing I examine new names on LOST a
bit more closely than I did before.< lame grin >
Nothing much else to say about this week's episode - simply too much to
ingest yet, gotta watch it again ( and by then all the good topics will
have been covered, no doubt ). As for last week...I think some of you
are hanging way too much on that cop's remark to Hurley about whether he
might have met Anna Lucia BEFORE the plane took off - face it, that is
when you have your greatest chance of meeting people who are not seated
right beside you. I don't think that it means that the Oceanic Six's
cover story is that they never boarded the plane in the first place; a
story like that would not cover their having ALL been missing for
months. Far more likely the 'Oceanic Six' agreed on a story of surviving
the crash in a way that left only them alive and afloat ( in some
fashion ) so that they reached a perfectly ordinary little island, from
which they were later rescued in some equally plausible fashion.
